Rural Issues 

The NREDA Rural Issues Committee is responsible for monitoring the federal legislation that may have an impact on economic development in rural America. The Committee will keep the Board apprised of this legislation. This monitoring will include developing and maintaining relationships with the legislative staff of affiliated organizations such as NTCA, NRTC, NRECA, NADO and CFC.

Your input helps us advocate for the federal programs and resources rural communities need. It also shapes the priorities we bring to our Washington, D.C. Fly-In, strengthens our Rural Issues White Paper, identifies important topics for the NREDA Annual Conference, and informs our work with strategic alliance partners.

The NREDA Rural Issues Committee is responsible for monitoring federal legislation that may have an impact on economic development in rural America and keep the Board apprised of this legislation. This monitoring will include developing and maintaining relationships with the legislative staffs of affiliated organizations such as NTCA, NRTC, NRECA, NADO and CFC. The Committee has developed an issues paper and one pager that define key areas of recognition or support for rural development.
